Key Responsibilities:
- Carrier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential carriers.
- Rate Negotiation: Negotiate freight rates and service terms with carriers to ensure competitive pricing for clients.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, capacity, and changes in the logistics industry to make informed decisions.
- Load Planning: Collaborate with operations teams to assign loads to carriers, ensuring timely delivery and optimal routing.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor carrier performance metrics and resolve any issues related to service or capacity.
- Client Communication: Act as a liaison between clients and carriers, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
- Sourcing: Focus on sourcing for new carriers
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in a carrier sales capacity
- Strong Sourcing Experience
- Skills: Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills.
